The Journey of Occavatra Book 1: The 13 Lords of Chaos Episode #20: A Frog & A Mirror
(Occavatra and Irene entered the Tower of Inversion, now on its side, through a crack made upon impact. The water was up to their knees, but the Chaos Portal did not short out.)
Occavatra: I don’t think I want to know what the tower looked like before it was inverted.
Irene: It’s hard to say for certain. Maybe if Escherion’s spell was broken, we’d probably know.
Occavatra: Technically, we’d have to destroy the evil wizard to break his spell. If not, then Chiral Valley won’t further suffer.
Irene: Then what’s stopping us now? This portal is the door to our final battle.
Occavatra: *looking at Irene.* Ladies first.
Irene: Nah uh. You’re stronger than me. You should go first.
Occavatra: So I guess courtesy is ruled out.
Irene: *smirking* Yep. *pushes Occavatra through the portal and follows suit by leaping through it. They land on each other, much to Escherion’s amusement.*
Occavatra: This is just great. Get your legs off of me.
Irene: *looking at Escherion.* Uh, oh. Gladly. *She gets off of him and helps him up as Escherion approaches them.*
Escherion: *sarcastically* How nice of you two to drop in after what you did to my precious tower!!!
Escherion: How dare you even squash my hydra!?? The Runix Cube is useless to me, thanks to you both!!!!
Occavatra: And, you have a sideways tower to dwell in. You’re welcome!
Irene: *shaking her fist.* And we’re here to take you down.
Escherion: Is that so? You both are not even a match for me without your little friend.
Occavatra: Why? What did you do to Cody?!?
Escherion: Nothing yet. When I expel you two from my domain again, I will mess with his weak human body and shape him into my most effective monster.
Occavatra: *aiming his blade at Escherion.* You’re going to have a mighty hard time kicking us out this round.
Escherion: *laughing* How your idle boasts crack me up, child. With you and what army do you intend to take me down with? (All of the sudden, an angry mob of Mobian villagers hop through the portal to face Escherion as well, much to the shock of all three people who were presently there.)
Irene: Oh, my goodness!
Occavatra: What are you doing? You’re putting yourselves in danger.
Villager 1: We’re well-aware that some of us won’t make it out alive, Occavatra.
Villager 2: But that doesn’t mean you should face Escherion alone. After all, Mobius is our home we’ve come to know and love.
Villager 1: You’re finished, Escherion!!! Pack up and leave before we make you!!!
Escherion: I thought you might say that. If this is what the majority wants, I’ll leave for good.
Occavatra: Really? *Irene looks suspicious.*
Escherion: *firing a laser from his Staff of Inversion.* Psyche! No, I’m not! *Occavatra and Irene move out of the laser’s path, only for it to hit the angry mob and turn the tables.*
Occavatra: That was too good to be true.
Irene: *sternly* You think?!
Corrupted Villagers: What we meant to come in here for is to help Escherion dispose of you both!!!!
Irene: That’s it, time to get turned inside out!!! (Both she and Occavatra charge at Escherion and attack him, however, when they strike a blow, it barely made a dent. Escherion chuckles while he fires an attack of his own.)
Occavatra: Oh, no. He’s invulnerable. Now how do we take him out? *Escherion launches a small blast, but it hits neither of the two. At that moment, Irene notices the Staff of Inversion floating by itself.*
Irene: We disable his staff. That’s how he feeds his power. *Occavatra smiles.*
Occavatra: I call his staff!
Irene: Staves are my thing! I want it!
Occavatra: Alright, then. You nab his staff, I’ll go get Escherion!
Escherion: *launches a chaotic spell that Occavatra, only for him to dodge it.* I grow tired of your presence here. Prepare to get inverted!
Occavatra: I didn’t come prepared at all. All I came here for is to knock you out! (Irene kicks down the staff and punches it multiple times. Occavatra slashes his sword at the Chaos Lord and he hits a wall. The duo exchange blows with one another while Irene struggles to keep the Staff of Inversion pinned down. Occavatra delivers a stabbing blow and Escherion kneels, defeated. Angered that he lost, he magnetizes his staff to him, which flips Irene off her feet.)
Escherion: *standing up* It looks like I clearly underestimated you, which is why now is a good time as ever to invert you!! (He fires a laser from the staff. Irene becomes horrified. She spots a mirror in the corner and grabs it.)
Irene: *tossing the mirror.* Hold it in your way quickly!!! (Occavatra catches it moments before the laser hit him. Instead, the laser redirected and hit Escherion. While he kneels confused, Occavatra and Irene glanced disoriented looks.*
Occavatra: Um, nothing’s happening.
Irene: *shrugging* It’s not uncommon for sorcerers to be immune to their own power.
Escherion: *gets up* Drat, I can’t even use chaos magic without inflicting myself. Oh, well. I’ll get back to the basics. (He launches ordinary mage attacks, but he ends up attacking himself because his spells got inverted. The duo just watch him, expecting something else to happen. Escherion casts another spell, but he turns himself into a frog instead, much to Occavatra’s joy.)
Occavatra: Hehe now you’re cute and harmless. *He picks up the frog and Irene salvages the staff.* You’re lucky I like frogs.
Irene: It’s not like you plan on squishing the creature anyway. It can’t do any harm anymore. *smiling* Speaking of which, the villagers are returning to normal. *Just as she said that, the corrupted villagers are cured, but dazed.*
Villager 1: Gee, what happened?
Villager 3: The last thing I remember was entering this tower and I do not know why now. It’s so empty.
Irene: Attention, villagers. *They turn around.* With Escherion out of the picture, Mobius is back in your hands. (The villagers applaud and together, they cheered and held a small parade to celebrate the defeat. Occavatra and Irene picked up Cody and they joined in on the celebration. Unfortunately, even with the Staff of Inversion, Escherion’s magic did not go away easily. His chaotic influence was too strong. Nevertheless, Occavatra hopes that one day, it will be fixed. He, Cody, and Irene go back to Battleon and sit on the edge of a cliff.)
Occavatra: Well, you two, one froggy Chaos Lord down. Twelve to go. *tickles Escherion’s chin.*
Irene: And I got a cool new staff. It’s stronger than my first one, but it takes some getting used to.
Cody: You guys are lucky. I didn’t get anything out of this experience.
Irene: Oh, Cody. *takes the Runix Cube out of her bag.* You can have this. Maybe it will hold other untold power than summoning a three-headed water snake.
Cody: *takes the cube* Thank you. It still has its glows. Taking down Chaos Lords has its perks.
Occavatra: Yeah, for sure. There’s a world to save and treasure to find.
Occavatra: big adventures await beyond these hills.
Irene: And we’ll always be there every step of the way.
Occavatra: Of course. We’re friends. We’ll always be by each other’s side. (And so, they watched over the hills as the sun rises into the sky and the trio wonder who Drakath has chosen for his next Chaos Lord. Just like they have finished their chapter, I have concluded this portion of my chapter on the AQW fansite. With every ending comes a new beginning.)

Karok’s Frozen Hunt
What would’ve been a joyous celebration and a new beginning
Turned out to be the return of a dreadful foe seekingĀ a champion.
The whereabouts of this champion is not known to anybody.
But suppose this champion doesn’t exist.
What if it was nothing, but a myth?
Even if Karok were to believe it was a myth, he would still stop at nothing
Until the city is reduced to shattered ice.
So I hold my mallet high
And I unleash my frozen fury onto his troops.
Maybe I can fight ice with ice.

The Journey of Occavatra Book 1: The 13 Lords of Chaos Episode #19: Three Heads are a Lot Worse than Two
(Occavatra and Irene took a few minutes to catch their breaths and dry off before they have to face the newly summoned beast.)
Irene: *dries off her hair with a towel.* What is that? I thought I saw three serpents in the lake.
Occavatra: It would make our fight easier if it was, but it’s a three-headed hydra and it’s flooding the cliff houses. (Both of their eyes widened as they witnesses one of the hydra heads spew water at a residential section. Not everyone had time to react, sadly.) If these hydra heads keep adding water, then the flood could spread to Mobius. We have to take it down.
Irene: Come on, then. Let’s go. (She and Occavatra finished drying their heads and they walked to some kind of grass beach. The moment they see the runed rocks, they became curious about what they were doing there.)
Occavatra: I think we came to some ancient civilization.
Irene: (kneeling down to examine them.) Those rocks don’t look ancient and their stance is vertical just like the other runed rocks.
Occavatra: Maybe the magic inside lingered all these years.
Irene: I doubt that. Look. (She points at the beam of light that touched the Inverted Tower.) There’s no way Escherion’s reign existed that long. Those rocks are supporting the tower.
Occavatra: Oh? *smiling* I got it. The only way to get rid of the Hydra is to knock this tower down. Not only will we free Cody, but this will give people in Mobius a fighting chance.
Irene: That’s great. To make the process go faster, I’ll destroy one and you destroy another.
Occavatra: *worried* What happens if the Hydra is smarter than it looks and knows what we’re up to?
Irene: It wouldn’t surprise me, but we’ll do okay. They’re not powerful enough to drown us because we know how to swim.
Occavatra: It’s great that swimming comes in handy during times like this. (Irene winks at him just as a warrior with a wooden club approaches them.) Hello, we’re relieved that another fighter has arrived.
Pyths: Likewise, dude. Renn and Zio sent me here to investigate the lake, but from the looks of that creature, it’s not quite possible. I wouldn’t bother destroying these rocks with your magical powers. They’re invulnerable.
Irene: *worrisome* Oh, no. What are we going to do now?
Pyths: Don’t despair, young lady. What I meant was they are immune to every power in the world except for a hydra’s tooth.
Occavatra: It sounds troublesome because then, we’d have to beat up the hydra heads.
Irene: Like I said, they’re not powerful enough to drown us. *smiling* We can take them.
Pyths: Wow, you’re braver than I thought. Who are you?
Irene: My name is Irene and this golden-armored man is Occavatra. And you are?
Pyths: You can call me Pyths. I’m a resident in Mobius and I have resisted Escherion’s reign since his very arrival.
Occavatra: It’s good reason to be sent to us. Are you ready to resist some more?
Pyths: *lightly tapping his club on his palm.* Yes, I am ready. (He, Occavatra, and Irene rush to the cliffside and confronted the hydra. One of them stopped flooding the cliff houses and began to chomp at Occavatra, only to have both of its teeth yanked out.*
Occavatra: Talk about a trip to a dentist. Irene, look out!!! (Another hydra head opens its mouth and rushes toward a cornered Irene, but she took out her wand, aimed it at the ground, and casts a spell that causes a piece of the ground to slant upwards and hitting the head’s front teeth, knocking them out of its mouth for Irene to catch.)
Irene: Don’t worry about me. I got it under control, but things are a little rocky on Pyths’s side of the battlefield. (The third hydra head chased Pyths across the coast and each time it came close to biting him, Pyths jumped back a little and kept running. Suddenly, Pyths tripped on a rock and dropped his club. His eyes widened helplessly as the hydra head gets ready to go in for the kill. He grabs his club, aims at the teeth as if they were a pitch in a baseball game. The head got near Pyths and the next thing that happened was that he swung the club and knocked ninety-eight percent of the head’s teeth out. Pyths picked them all out and rejoins Occavatra and Irene in the fight against their individual hydra heads. The third head comes to, moves over toward Pyths, and joins its fellow heads in going in for the nearly toothless kill.)
Pyths: What could they do to us now, swallow us whole?
Occavatra: *gulping* It can happen, but we can’t stay idle long enough to find out.
Pyths: Use your special attacks! (The hydra heads open their mouths and leaned toward the trio, but Occavatra launched several fireballs, Irene punched the air to form several powerful gusts of wind, and Pyths hit a hydra head on its scalp. All three hydra heads become temporally immobilized.) Whew, we did it. It should keep the hydra heads out of our way for a bit.
Irene: We still have to use these teeth to destroy the runed rocks. We’ll split up to make this process go faster, but we must hurry. The hydra heads won’t be out cold for very long. (And so, the trio run around the beach to puncture the rocks with the teeth. Several scratches were enough to shatter each rock into several dozen tiny pebbles. A few minutes later, Occavatra destroyed the last rock and the tower started to sway back and forth. Concerned, Irene and Pyths rush to Occavatra and pulled him out of the way.)
Occavatra: We finally disabled support of the tower. It’s going to fall down any second now.
Irene: Suppose it leans in that direction. All of your bones could get broken.
Occavatra: It would’ve been terrifying if it did. *shudders.*
Pyths: *pointing at the tower.* But look. It’s not swaying in that direction. It’s coming down toward the heads.
Occavatra: *smiling* That’s perfect. All we can do now is watch. (The Inverted Tower sways more and more off-balance until it slams down on the hydra heads, rendering them trapped underneath the broken tower. The trio cheered.) Woohoo!!!
Irene: We saved the cliff residents and more importantly, Mobius.
Pyths: We couldn’t have done it without each other.
Occavatra: We couldn’t have broken the rocks if you didn’t tell us that we needed the teeth.
Pyths: *smiling* It’s nothing. I do that sort of thing all the time. *sighs* The deed is done and Escherion is now helpless. I’ll be right over to get the residents over there. You two go trap him in his own domain until I get there.
Occavatra: You got it, Pyths. (He shakes Pyths’s hand and Pyths dashes off with Occavatra and Irene waving after him. The duo look at the crack in the tower and smile at each other.) Going in?
Irene: Don’t mind if I do.
Occavatra: Ladies first. (Irene entered the tower and Occavatra, taking a deep breath, follows her inside, to confront the First Lord of Chaos once and for all.)

Cyber Hype
Cyber Monday is back in AQW! Hurrah! With all new items both members and non members and as well as new houses designed by the talented J6, I think this is by far the best Cyber Monday we’ve ever had well in my own opinion at least :p Though I can agree that there Ā are many ideas that we all wish could have been added to the shop and I’m sorry for players who feel disappointed by this but I think that just having these many cyber items is enough to even make a cyborg happy O.o
This years Cyber Monday shop introduces various cyberfied weapons that we all love and miss and two weapons that stood out to me the most are the CyberĀ Soul Ripper and the CyberĀ Soul Mender swordsĀ because these two in their original form has two be one of the rarest items in game.
Soul Ripper (2009) > Cyber Soul Ripper (2015)
Soul Ripper was first released in AQW during Quibble Coinbiter’s First Shop with a cost of 1k acs it was possibly one of the most expensive ac wepaons of that time, There is also A doom version to Soul ripper which was a 1% chance drop from the Wheel of Destiny or the Wheel of Doom, Its cyber counter part on the other hand is only half the price of its original, costing only 500 ac. A fair and reasonable price rare hunters and for every player who wish they could have taken it from quibble when they had the chance. Though the Cyber Soul Ripper doesn’t have quite the same flare that the original Soul Ripper has, I’m glad to see it alive in game once again.

Soul Mender (2013) > Cyber Soul Mender 2015
Soul Mender arrived at AQW during Quibble Coinbiter’s twenty-third shop, with a similar design to Soul Ripper these two weapons definitely belong together side by side like two sides of a coin: Light and Dark. Just like Soul Ripper, Soul Mender was originally sold for 1000 acs however its Cyber Version unlike the Soul Ripper can be both for either 500 acs or 35k g for members. Also unlike Soul Ripper, Soul Mender does not have its own Doom version. In the end, I’m definitely Ā glad to see it back in the game.

One of the most definite difference between the original and the cyber version of this two weapons is the lack of animation in both the Cyber version however I think that the glow on both swords make up for the lack of animation without that glow, the sword will not seem as appealing to me as it does now. There is also a few difference in the designs despite how similar the two weapons.

Aside from this two weapons, my favorite part of this years Cyber Monday shop is the new house also known as the M4tr1x house, designed by J6 the house comes in variety of colors Blue and Gold (for members) and Purple, Green and Red (for 1500 acs). Perfect for those who prefer one from another. Aside from the different colors, all houses have the same design with a total of 3 rooms not including the outside unless you wish to count that as a room. But what I love about this house is that despite the fact that it may seem small with only 3 rooms, it still looks spacey with plenty of room to show off your favorite house gear or just to enjoy a nice gathering with friends.Ā

Black Friday Hype!
Hello everyone! Since Black Friday was this week, I thought I’d do a quick post
Black Friday is back with returning seasonal rares and more! Including the Black Friday Hunt with items that you do not want to miss! Personally there are Two sets that stood out to me the most from the Black Friday Shop and I absolutely love them bothĀ
The first is the BladeMaster Assassin set, as a legion fan myself this was an absolute must have, with a variety of helms, capes and weapons what more can a legion/assassin fan could possibly want? Plus this set is available in both AC and Legion tokens so everyone has an equal chance to get it!
The second set that caught my attention is the Dark Void of Revontheus, this was a love at first sight set for me, if there are two colors that I love its Black and Blue (sometimes lavender) but this set was black, black and a delight to my eyes that had to be in my collection no matter what (thank you Tana and Revontheus) !
These are my favorite sets for this years Black Friday Shop and I cannot wait to see what CyberMonday and future events have in store! š

Feast Of Fear!
Hi Guys, this is my first blog and lucky me. Thanksgiving was just recently so Happy Late Thanksgiving to everyone and a Happy late Thursday as well š
Every year AQW puts on a wonderful thanksgiving event but this year they decided to put on a twist buy mixing Thanksgiving and Halloween into one pumpkin spiced event “Feast of Fear”

Parodying the Starbucks iconic seasonal drink Pumpkin Spice Latte, Players had to save thanksgiving from the evil Pumpkin spice that is turning everyone who drinks it to Pumpkin Heads! Yikes, talk about too much Pumpkin! Luckily the headless horseman is busy haunting the sleepy hollow or he might just mistake someone’s pumpkin head for his! And lucky for us, Halloween is over.
After completing a series of quests Ā from the wonderful Oishi and the Cauldron Sisters, players can return to fight OverGourd to get some wonderful drops! I think the non member players will enjoy the Wicked Pumpkin Caster set! Among the other things in the merge shop because who doesn’t enjoy awesome free player items? š
My personal thoughts on this event is that it felt short, though its probably only because I worked through the quest so fast that it felt that way but overall for an event that was released earlier than usual It was a great event and from what Reens posted on twitter, Ghost had finished the cut scenes in just three days!! So a huge pat on the back for his wonderful work and dedication and huge applause to him! (https://twitter.com/ReensAE/status/669706006696296448) I also really loved the items in the merge shop including the Dark Pumpkin Caster Armor, Helm and the Gourd Prophet pet but my absolute favorite item of all has to be the Scarbucks latte cup because for someone who used to stop by Starbucks all the time before school for a cup of coffee to get me through those early morning, I just HAD to have this weapon. It screamed me, I wish i can take a pen and write my name on it, like what they do at some stores but having it in game is the best part!
I Ā know that this must be late (and short) Ā but I wish everyone a Happy Thanks giving and a Happy Weekend overall! Black Friday, Cyber Monday and soon Frostval is just around the corner! I cannot wait to share my thoughts on all of them š

The Swamp’s Decaying Hope
The air is thick with despair.
The swamp before me is now an empty shell of what it once was.
Does this happen to those who give up their dreams?
The fog obscures the day and night, causing me to not see what lies ahead.
My heart is my only compass through the decaying swamp.
It never tells me where I’m going, however, as long as it feels right to me..
Then I am going in the right direction to collect what the swamp was deprived of.

Mogloween has slipped away and the dark spirits have disappeared, yet the worst of seasons will soon to come.
When there’s hints of frost already and snowmen are being build before Thanksgiving, the autumn turns glum.

Down at the Graveyard
Unsure what could be more agonizing than death?
Necromancy must be a treat to whomever reanimated the horned skeleton.
Death loses meaning when one wakes up full of darkness and composed with bones.
Easygoing is one word to describe the feeling of adapting to this new life if emotions are retained.
Accepting their fate is the only other way for what choice do the horned skeleton even have?
Dangerous it could become because the man I once knew is now gone forever.
