Conquerer of Perfect Beiza (Plus a couple Announcements)

(Occavatra takes a morning walk in Greenguard Forest. Once in a while, he’ll run into the occasional monster and he slays it. Luckily, nothing out of the ordinary happened yet.)

Occavatra: It’s great I can finally relax today. I get a lot busy these days and it wears me down a lot. I should enjoy it while it lasts because these days off are often short-lived. (He resumes walking in the forest, but suddenly, a warrior in black runs straight past him and he trips Occavatra by mistake. The black warrior was quick to notice and he helps him up.)

ConqueroftheWorld: Oh, my gosh. I’m terribly sorry. I am in such a hurry and I haven’t noticed anyone else was near me.

Occavatra: It’s alright. My foot isn’t bruised, which meant I picked a good day to wear gold armor.

ConqueroftheWorld: Gold armor? *eyes widened* Wait, you’re Occavatra, aren’t you?

Occavatra: *laughing* It’s funny how you guessed my name so quickly. Are you telepathic?

ConqueroftheWorld: *smiling* No, I’m not. You’re super-famous all across the globe.

Occavatra: I think you’re exaggerating because very few people know who I am.

ConqueroftheWorld: Oh, no. I’m in an underground movement that resists Drakath’s reign of terror whenever possible and we look up to you as our hero.

Occavatra: Um, gosh, I’m flattered, sir. It’s nice to meet you. *He and ConqueroftheWorld shake hands.*

ConqueroftheWorld: It’s a pleasure to meet you too.

Occavatra: *in his head* Gee, how many people are in his group? If his team consists of a whole metropolis, I’m in for a ghastly treat.

ConqueroftheWorld: My name is ConqueroftheWorld, a natural-born leader that slays Chaos on sight.

Occavatra: That’s a fascinating choice of words, ConqueroftheWorld. Did you really conquer the world? It’s massive in size and you’ll never know what powers different people hold.

ConqueroftheWorld: I wish. It was a name I gave myself when I was younger because I single-highhandedly saved my family when my village was attacked by Drakenor. That’s when I thought I could conquer the world so the nickname stuck.

Occavatra: Still, you are very brave for the deed you have done. *curiously* Why are you in such a hurry?

ConqueroftheWorld: Um, well, it’s my teammate, Theosevia. She went to get food for our squad, but we haven’t seen her for hours. I searched everywhere in the forest and I couldn’t find her.

Occavatra: Oh, no. Sir ConqueroftheWorld, do you need help? I’ll be happy to lend a hand to you.

ConqueroftheWorld: Yeah, of course. Quickly, come along! I’m worried about Theosevia. (He and Occavatra run down a path in the forest. They started to sprint after a minute, however, they were running so fast that they hardly noticed their surroundings until they saw a clearing and they were literally five inches close to the edge of a cliff.)

Occavatra: *eyes widened* Oh, no! Watch out! *He pulled ConqueroftheWorld away from the cliff and they get to a safer distance.* We should watch where we’re going.

ConqueroftheWorld: I know. I get carried away sometimes.

Occavatra: Let’s just remain calm. We’ll take a short break to catch our breaths and then we can go back to finding your friend. *Occavatra takes a seat on the rock.* The sky is nice today and the air is cool enough to catch a good breath. (While he takes his break, ConqueroftheWorld notices a fight nearby. He spots a young woman fighting an alien being. He takes a closer look at her and realizes that the woman is Theosevia from the looks of her attire and curved sword.)

ConqueroftheWorld: Uh, oh.

Occavatra: *concerned* What’s the matter, Conquer?

ConqueroftheWorld: I found Theosevia. She’s fighting some kind of alien.

Occavatra: An alien?!? This can’t be good. It’s a serious matter!! *looking at the fight.* Good eye, Conquer. We need to get going and help her!! *He and ConqueroftheWorld dash to battle just in time to see Theosevia get pushed aside.*

Perfect Beiza: Move aside, weakling. You haven’t the power to stop me.

ConqueroftheWorld: *slashes his Blade of Awe at him.* Don’t you dare call her a weakling, you pony-tailed extraterrestrial!!!

Perfect Beiza: *angrily* No one makes fun of me! It’s not hair!!! (He starts to fight Occavatra and ConqueroftheWorld. Occavatra blocks his attacks by using his sword as a shield. Though it’s not effective, it is harder than stone.)

Occavatra: Nice try, ponytail. It’ll take more than a punch to knock me off my feet.

Perfect Beiza: *smirking* Sounds like a challenge, human. *He floats in the air and starts to kick Occavatra, but he grabs his head and smacks him into a tree. Then he and ConqueroftheWorld rush in and beat him up.*

Theosevia: *excitedly* Wow, is it he? *waving* Hi, Occavatra. Go and show him who’s boss!

Occavatra: *smiling* Hey, Theo. *He blocks another punch from Perfect Beiza.*

Perfect Beiza: I’ll deal with her later, but you two are getting in my way!!! Now I’ll have to exterminate you.

ConqueroftheWorld: Brace yourself. I got this! (Perfect Beiza started to charge up his energy blast, which made me temporally invincible from the front. Occavatra and ConqueroftheWorld tried to disrupt him, but none of them could throw him off. Theosevia watched in horror while Perfect Beiza’s energy blast is nearing full charge. Noticing that he is vulnerable from the back, she grabbed a rock, ran behind him, and struck him. The attack caused the blast to fizzle out, much to Perfect Beiza’s surprise. Finally, ConqueroftheWorld kicked him off the cliff side with satisfaction.)

Occavatra: We’ll catch you later, Imperfect Beiza!

Perfect Beiza: *faded screaming* You’re going to regret this someday!!!

ConqueroftheWorld: *smiling* We did it. Nice hit, Theosevia. You saved our necks.

Theosevia: *shyly laughing* Thanks. It was no big deal. Thank you for saving me, you two.

Occavatra: You’re welcome. Gee, this whole ordeal was intense.

Theosevia: I agree with you on that, but we’re not done yet.

Occavatra: *worriedly* What’s going on? Could it be that the alien is a part of something bigger?

Theosevia: Sort of. He robbed a bank in Willow Creek and I’ve been trying to get the money back. This money goes to a piggy bank with dragon-like characteristics. I’m afraid that by the time I caught up to him, he gave it to the pig.

Occavatra: Oh, shoot. I was afraid that Baron Bayconn would want revenge that badly.

ConqueroftheWorld: Occa, we don’t know that. All that matters right now is to find that piggy and get the money back.

Occavatra: You’re right. I still have chills from forcibly doing time in Swordhaven.

Theosevia: That explains a lot.

ConqueroftheWorld: I wonder where we could find that pig?

Theosevia: I know where he is, but we need to follow a certain trail to get there. There is a mischievous forest spirit that changes the trail every single day so we must move quick before sundown or we’ll get lost.

Occavatra: I wouldn’t say “Lead the way.” because of that statement, but I’ll definitely say, “Let’s get going then.”

Theosevia: That works too, actually. (She, ConqueroftheWorld, and Occavatra go back into Greenguard Forest to follow the said trail. They grazed through a thick marsh, a steep boulder, they fought a grizzly bear, and chopped their way through three thorn bushes. By the time the trio reached the sky path, it was a half-hour until sundown.)

Occavatra: Not bad. We made it through almost unscathed.

ConqueroftheWorld: Yeah, but it’s almost sundown. We have some time to spare.

Theosevia: Let’s contemplate a way out later. The piggy bank is this way. *They walk on the path, but about three feet into it, Occavatra looked down and gasped. There was no ground.*

Occavatra: I hope we don’t fall in the process.

Theosevia: Just relax. Focus on what you’re standing on.

Occavatra: I know. I’m just nervous that the path isn’t stable.

Theosevia: Yes, it’s amazing how that path remains so despite having very little structure to support it. *Occavatra gasps in astonishment.* It’s like magic, really.

Occavatra: Wow, it’s so cool. (Theosevia nods in agreement while they walk. Within fifteen minutes before sundown, the three of them find the piggy bank flapping its wings and landing on the path ferociously. Occavatra worried that he’ll fall off the piggy bank lands so hard again.)

Theosevia: Remember not to look down. *frowns* That’s the one. Let’s get him!

ConqueroftheWorld: *raising his Blade of Awe* I’m with you, Theo!

Occavatra: *unsheathing his sword* Me too. Calm down. Ignore the abyss and face the piggy bank. (The trio attacked the angry piggy bank at once, causing the pig to head butt the team. ConqueroftheWorld sliced at the pig’s side. It broke a hole and it leaked gold coins, much to everybody’s astonishment.)

ConqueroftheWorld: Wow, we struck rich!

Theosevia: Not precisely. This money belongs to Willow Creek. Keep poking holes with Occavatra. I’ll use my big magnet to recover the falling coins. *She pointed her magnet in different directions, causing the gold coins to fly right towards it. They bang on the magnet almost at rapid speed.*

Occavatra: Talk about raining gold! (He looks at the piggy bank and he breaks another hole into it. Unfortunately, he was so busy cutting holes in almost every direction that he didn’t see ConqueroftheWorld fall off the edge because the tail poked him.) NOOO!!!! *Fortunately, ConqueroftheWorld gripped the edge with one of his arms and is hanging for dear life.*

ConqueroftheWorld: Help me! Somebody!

Theosevia: I’ll be right there. There’s still coins to magnetize! Occavatra, do something!!!

Occavatra: *cuts off the piggy bank’s tail.* You got it. (He whistles at the piggy bank and it turns around. It charges toward Occavatra, but he has a trick up his sleeve. The piggy bank was about to push him off the cliff when Occavatra sliced at it, breaking it into pieces and spewing gold coins all over the portion of the path. Smiling, Occavatra helped ConqueroftheWorld up and they shake each other’s hands.)

Theosevia: *puts her magnet away after she vacuums the other coins.* Well, that’s the last of them. Awesome move, Occavatra. We can learn something from you.

Occavatra: Why, thank you, Theo. You have excellent reflexes from the way you’ve used that magnet.

Theosevia: *smiling softly.* Thank you.

ConqueroftheWorld: Now how are we going to find a way out now that it’s dawn? This forest spirit you mentioned could change the path anytime now.

Theosevia: *picks up the wings that broke off.* I think we got that taken care of. (Occavatra and ConqueroftheWorld gulp. She attaches the wings to a large rock that is located at the start of the sky path and the trio hop on. The wings flap and the rock takes off into the impending night sky. It is a crescent moon tonight. Two hours later, they land in Willow Creek and Theosevia returns the money to the bank. Calafas approaches Occavatra with a smile.)

Calafas: I like to thank you and your new friends for the service you have provided us tonight. The robbery was so bad we would’ve been bankrupt by morning.

Occavatra: It’s a pleasure, Priestess. We beat up an alien and smashed a piggy bank to get it back.

Calafas: How odd. Did you find out why they committed that theft?

Occavatra: No. We didn’t bother to ask. In fact, I didn’t know if it weren’t for ConqueroftheWorld.

Calafas: I see. In that matter, I owe him my thanks as well. *She smiles as she walks back to the church. Occavatra meets up with ConqueroftheWorld and Theosevia after she puts the money in a bank vault.*

Occavatra: Is everything alright?

ConqueroftheWorld: *smiling* It is now.

Theosevia: I put the money in a more secure vault and gave it sixteen different combinations.

Occavatra: *eyes widened* Sixteen combinations?! How will actual bank workers access the money?

Theosevia: I wrote them all down on a parchment and delivered it to the manager’s cabin.

ConqueroftheWorld: Say, Occa, since we saved the day together, would you like to tag along with us?

Occavatra: I’d be happy to, but I cannot. I have my own teammates who are waiting at a campground for me. *embarrassed* They’ve been kept waiting for most of the day. I’ll see you both around whenever our paths permit us.

ConqueroftheWorld: That would be awesome.

Theosevia: *waving* Good luck on your adventure and we’ll see you again someday.

Occavatra: I’ll be counting on it. (He walks out of Willow Creek and makes his way in Greenguard Forest back to his teammates’ campsite. Irene and Cody were already asleep, unfortunately. Occavatra shrugged it off, pulled out his sleeping bag, tucked himself in, and went to sleep.)

I will end this week this a couple quick announcements. I would like to apologize for not continuing The Journey of Occavatra. I remember very well where I left off, but I haven’t found time to play through the 1st Chaos Lord Saga up until the Hydra map with another character and you may have noticed I’ve been writing poetry to compensate for the lack of time I’ve had recently to write a full-length story. I’ll be posting more AQW-themed poetry more often, but I’m not giving up on stories entirely.

According to my post on the fansite looking for more bloggers, the expiration for submitting applications was yesterday, but I have good news. I’ve decided to extend the deadline to November 22nd, which means everyone will have a chance to blog here. Yippie!!!

Last, but not least, is something regarding my activity here. Because I have recently joined Artix Entertainment’s Web QA team and for other reasons such as being in college and experiencing burnouts time and again, I’ve decided to decrease my activity on the fansite to every two weeks. That doesn’t mean I’ll be leaving it. This decision means I’ll have more time to think about what I’ll write about and focus on bigger priorities until then, which means I’ll be able to blog more effectively. That is all for tonight. 🙂

When Mecha Dinosaurs Ruled the Jungles

My journey took me to an unexpected place.

Eerie and strange creatures roam the jungles and mountains.

Could it be who I think they are?
How did these dinosaurs acquire that technology
At a time period when it didn’t exist at all?
Dinosaurs are dangerous, but intelligent creatures.
I say it defies logic almost entirely!
No way is what I’m seeing real life.
Oh, no. I think I know who may be behind this madness
Since I recognize the style and design of these mecha suits.
A mad scientist known none other than Dr. Krueger did this to them.
Ugly just took a turn for dangerous for the dinosaurs are looking at me.
Run or else we have to face them with inadequate weaponry.

Fan Art Friday presents “Wherefore Art Thou Gravelyn”

This fantastic piece was created by DeviantArtist GriffinFire. Known in-game as “Arrakis”, this work of apparant Shakespearean influence shows her courting the ever lovely, and less-than-enthused, Empress Gravelyn. Griffin is super nice and let me bug her with my questions after I hunted her down on Twitter.

When I found this, I knew I HAD to learn the story behind it! Griffin did not disappoint me.

I’ve always thought Gravelyn was a great character, and pretty early on I came up with the idea of my character, Arrakis, having a crush on her. Realistically, I thought Gravelyn would be less than enthused about an ultimately Good-aligned pirate pursuing her romantically, so I’ve tended to play that up for laughs. This particular piece was something I thought would be fun for Valentine’s Day. It’s not necessarily Arrakis and Gravelyn “as” Romeo and Juliet, but as the title indicates that was certainly an influence on the scenario.

Reminds me a little bit of my over the top obsession slight interest in Cysero!

Griffin often finds her inspiration in viewing the artwork of others, and has been interested in art for as long as she can remember. She also enjoys writing fiction, some poetry, dabbling in cosplay, and would like to try her hand at making plushies!

For all you techies and artists out there, when asked what tools she uses for her art she replied,

For this piece, I used The GIMP and a drawing tablet hooked up to my desktop computer. Since then, I’ve switched to drawing on an Android tablet.

Beach Getaway Gone Wrong

(Summer is nearing its end and the fall is just around the corner. Occavatra took notice because of the cold air and decided to make it last by spending the day reading on the beach while it still has its fresh summer breeze.)

Occavatra: *sighs* Why must good summer days come to an end so fast? The beauty of a magical summer is always taken lightly and never savored. I know what I can do to still make it last. There’s still a bit more in this book. *He sits in the sand and opens a brown novel.* Okay, where did I leave off? *He flips through a few pages before he stops at a particular passage.* Oh, there we go. (Occavatra leans against a palm tree and he begins to read. The text causes him to feel entranced and he did not know when to put it down. Just a short time later, Axeros and some beachgoers spotted Occavatra and started to sneak up on him.)

Axeros: Shhhhhh. There he is. I’m finally getting to meet him.

Soki: Um, it looks like he’s reading. I think we shouldn’t disturb him.

Axeros: Soki, tighten the screw in your brain so it doesn’t fall out. *Soki frowns.* Occavatra needs some fun in his life. Plus, we haven’t seen him in forever.

Neoslasher: I know that feeling. *blinking* We need to get his attention somehow.

Soki: *pointing at the top of a palm tree.* Throw a coconut at him. It’s hard to not pay attention to it.

Neoslasher: A coconut? That’s it!!! *He slices Frostscythe’s notorious scythe at the palm tree, causing it to fall down.* TIMBER!!!!! *Occavatra frowns, rolls his eyes, and keeps reading.*

Soki: You didn’t have to do that. I meant shake the tree so the coconut falls down like this. *She slightly shakes a nearby tree.*

Pinwheel: The important thing is we have a coconut now.

Axeros: Alright, then. Pinwheel. Throw it at Occavatra’s head.

Pinwheel: I can’t do that. What if I knock him out by mistake?

Axeros: Alright, I’ll do it. *He takes a coconut from the palm tree. He throws it at the back of Occavatra’s head, causing him to fall face first into the sand. He gets up and aims his starsword in a variety of directions.*

Occavatra: Who hit my head?

Axeros: Occavatra!!! *He takes off a top speed to embrace Occavatra.*

Occavatra: Oh, hi, Axeros. *hugs him back.* I haven’t seen you in ages. I hope you’re not feasting on a lot of souls.

Axeros: Nah, I eat people’s misery now, but I’m good.

Soki: Great, calling his name would’ve saved a lot of trouble instead of chopping down one tree and throwing his coconut at his head.

Occavatra: Soki, is that you? *releases the hug and walks toward her.* What brings you to this beach?

Soki: Hello. We were just stopping by to see how you were doing. You looked like you could use a little beach party.

Occavatra: Gee, I wasn’t expected a beach party today. What a spontaneous surprise.

Neoslasher: Don’t be too startled. It’s a sign that summer is still alive.

Occavatra: *turning around to face Neoslasher.* Neo, boy, am I glad to see you.

Neoslasher: I’m so glad to see you too. I’ve missed you.

Occavatra: *gives Neoslasher a hug* You are a kind Legionnaire, I can tell you that.

Pinwheel: Gee, that’s almost ironic.

Occavatra: *releases the hug and turns around to face Pinwheel excitedly.* Hi, Pinwheel. I’m especially happy you are here too.

Pinwheel: *he embraces Occavatra fondly* It fills me with joy that this would be a perfect last day of summer.

Occavatra: *savors his hug* I wonder why would that be?

Pinwheel: Don’t think because summer is over that means we should waste the day away. We’re all here at this moment like there’s no tomorrow.

Occavatra: *smiling* Yes. Yes, you’re right. Let’s go have some fun.

Soki: What would you guys like to do?

Axeros: We can fight each other and whoever loses submits their souls to me.

Pinwheel: No, I was thinking more like going swimming and splashing each other in the cool ocean water.

Occavatra: The ocean is a bit too cold to go swimming. I tapped my foot in the water and it didn’t seem very safe.

Neoslasher: It appears to be safe for some of us.

Soki: *blinking* That’s because you’re undead.

Occavatra: Don’t worry. There’s still some time for the sun to come up a bit more for the water to heat up a little so we can all go swimming.

Pinwheel: What happens if we don’t know how to swim?

Occavatra: *pictures the fact water-breathing potions have split in the water years earlier.* I don’t think it’s important.

Pinwheel: What? You don’t care if we drown? Gosh, Occa, I thought you cared.

Soki: He means you can’t drown. Neither of us can. We can breathe water as well as the air.

Pinwheel: Oh….. yeah. I forgot about that part.

Neoslasher: But if it’s too cold to go swimming, what are we going to do until the sun comes up?

Pinwheel: Do you have a plan, Occavatra?

Occavatra: Yeah, I did, fishy.

Occavatra: That is, until I found out all we could ever do is just lay down in the sand and read a book.

Soki: Oh, yeah. That’s what we saw you doing when Axeros threw a coconut at you.

Occavatra: *starts to get angry and still feels pain on his head.* That was him?!?!?

Axeros: *embarrassed* Oops.

Occavatra: Okay, then, I’ll throw a coconut at you since that hit me way too hard. *He picks up a coconut and throws it at Axeros, which hits him in the stomach.*

Axeros: Alright, it’s in. Coconut Fight!!!!

Soki: *eyes widened* Oh, brother. (Everyone starts throwing coconuts at one another. They ran around near the palm trees and picked up any coconuts they can find. Then if one reaches a safe enough distance, this person throws a coconut at their target. This went on for a half and hour with little injuries, but the beach-goers suddenly stopped when Zee arrived at the beach.)

Occavatra: Holy shoot.

Pinwheel: Zee is here. What could be possibly be doing here?

Axeros: Oh, good. He’s going to join our beach party.

Zee: *smiling wickedly as his eyes turn purple.* Actually, I’m here to take you to my underwater fortress where I will extract a tiny portion of your power for the Mother of Monsters!

Soki: Hey, there’s no way we’re going to come with you willingly! *Although she didn’t bring a weapon, her pets Alpha Ferret Pirate and Arcane Parrot ready themselves to attack Zee.*

Neoslasher: Zee, why would you do this to us? I thought we were friends!

Zee: We are friends, Slashy. If you can cooperate, our friendship will go on for decades.

Occavatra: *unsheathes his weapon* Our friendships can go on even without our power. You don’t have to do this!

Axeros: *angrily* I’ll consume your soul for that threat!!!!!

Zee: *laughs evilly* You can’t consume my soul, puppet! I can force all of you into muscle spasms just because I could, but I’m not in the mood to do that today! *He snaps his fingers and all of the sudden, Occavatra, Pinwheel, Neoslasher, Axeros, and Soki are tied up by throbbing metallic, ruby-crested straps. The group tries to break free, but the blood magic binds them by force.*

Pinwheel: I can’t feel my legs!

Soki: Let us go!

Zee: I can’t let you go, Soki. You are five of the most legendary heroes on Lore. My queen would like some of that.

Axeros: Get me out of here!!!!! I’ll get Dage to come over to save me!

Zee: Ha, ha, ha, your little friend won’t hear you. My underwater fortress is soundproof so neither of you will shout for help!!! Say goodbye to the surface, soon-to-be weaklings!!!

Pinwheel: *gulping* At least, we can go swimming.

Occavatra: Not quite. We’re in danger and I….

Zee: That’s enough out of you! Now let’s go before I lose my patience!!! *He raises a hand up and the straps cause the five captives to levitate. Occavatra struggles with his right hand to launch a fireball and shoots it backwards. They end up going into the ocean and out of sight, helplessly. The fireball hits a mountain six miles away from the beach, leaving a crater. That crater then attracted the attention of Luna Cove’s locals and more importantly, the Hero and Irene.)

Fan Art Friday presents “Pirate Captain”

This week’s fun, flirty piece is by Ferozakh! I thought this was appropriate to represent the day of Talk Like A Pirate Day (TLaPD) release today, and TLaPD tomorrow!  Her sweet smile and blushed cheek add a cuteness to her positivity that Beleen would be proud of! And who doesn’t like a little bust??

Ferozakh tells us a bit about how he got into art and what programs he used,

I started making my first Hero Violator art way back in 2008 when I was then 12. Then at around 2010, I started drafting out imaginary items in MS Paint and then sketched out Gibazil on paper. At around 2013, I got myself my first pentab which comes with a free Photoshop Elements 10 software and started mimicking AQW templates.

Later in 2014, [someone helped me obtain a] copy of Flash CS3 and asked me to train myself using my past experience in my art styles back when I make sets with PSE.

And to be honest, Flash CS3 is hard to use, compared to Flash CC.

Soon later I managed to retrace Memet’s templates, I have to watch Nulgath and Dage’s speed art videos to improve myself in art and after August, I moved to Flash CC.

When asked what he looks forward to from TLaPD releases, he hopes they will return to the style they had in 2011, as he felt they were more enjoyable.

A Dark, Foggy Night of a Strong Memory

Night is a time to be afraid.

The dark hides many secrets especially the fog.

Not everyone knows if a creature you will see

Is a harmless soul or an embodiment of evil.

I happen to be one of them.

I’m not bothered for I like being alone.

It gives me time to think about life’s secrets.

The small wind keeps me company.

It’s the way I like it.

I visit the tombstone of my late mother.

Her name is carved rather elegantly on it.

She was a kind lady and noblewoman in House Hyphic.

Not a day goes by that I don’t see her face in the mists of my mind.

I still miss her so, but what will she think of me?

That her son, the only surviving member of the House

Is a necromancer that takes pleasure in manipulating the dead

Like marionettes?

If only she knew why I chose that path.

The path to escape a confined life and the danger I could’ve been in.

Hopefully, in the depths of Dage’s Realm, she knows I am still alive.

It was nice to see her tombstone again on a gray night like this.

Maybe for once I am not alone.

Fan Art Friday presents “Final Moments”

Valen had once been a knight, good and noble… Everything he had done, what he had become… it had all been for her. Lynaria, his one and only love. it was for her that he had stood alongside her and Alteon when they fought against the Tyrant king and rebuilt the kingdom from the ashes of war. Even when he lost the battle for her heart, he remained loyal knight and friend to the newly crowned king and queen. For her, he had charged into battle and died… and that he gave up his body, mind, and soul to come back and save her life.
… And now, when she had tried to save him from the darkness that had consumed him, to save what little remained of the man that she had loved as much as her husband… The darkness had taken his body, used his hand to lift the sword that struck the fatal blow. Now, he could only cradle her lifeless body in his arms, tortured by guilt, anguish, and mourning.
Lynaria, the one and only light of his life was gone… because of him.

and yet, deep within the cold armor of the doomknight, the smallest remains of Valen’s soul still refused to be crushed by the vile darkness that had taken the rest of his body. for the small cries of a red-haired infant, coming from another room in the dark fortress, caused Valen’s soul to endure. there was still one little bit of Lynaria left, that and a promise. a promise to protect that last little spark of light.

This emotional piece was created by DeviantArtist, “Thylanos”. Here he shows us the tragedy of lost love from one of the greatest villains in Lore revealing a soft side the undead Emperor.  He says of it,” Sepulchure especially has always been a huge inspiration for me, both in art and how I develop my characters. this magnificent b*st*rd has been in my life for nearly 5 years now, and only a few months ago he has been ‘permanently’ laid to rest. emotionally crippled me when he did die, both times.
Lynaria was a newer character, but she grabbed me by the heartstrings as well when she was introduced in Sepulchure’s backstory as his lover and as the mother of his daughter, Gravelyn (who is probably my second favorite character of all time).” The accompanying description to the artwork is canon to Lore’s backstory of Sepulchure.

When asked what inspired him to make this piece he said, “Sepulchure has always been one of my favorite characters made by Artix Entertainment. when we finally learned more about him, Gravelyn and Lynaria… Well I guess I’m a sucker for a love story and at the time I was sure that would be the last we saw of Sepulchure (how wrong I was). I felt the need to pay homage to my favorite Villain. I wanted to show off a bit of his softer side.”

He made the creation using Autodesk Sketchbook Pro (for you artsy folk looking for programs to try). His inspiration for being an artist comes from “cartoons, mostly.” He goes on to say, “Art and animations are just beautiful, if you can create your own, why not?”

Weapons Wednesday #1

As promised, here are the 3 weapons for today!  These go in no random order of awesomeness.  They are all awesome.

#1. The first weapon I have is the Unholy Shadow Pride.It’s a sword with a jagged, pitch black blade with a creepy red aura surrounding it.  Its guard looks like a cross between a human skull and a spider’s, with glowing, red eye sockets.  It is definitely a weapon for evil.  You can find it at Yulgar’s Suggestion Shop II for 7,500 gold.

#2  The second weapon allows you to get up close and personal in your fights with enemies.  It’s Gia’s Primal Brawlers, properly named as they allow you to release your animal side on your opponent, slashing them with the claws and dagger on the back.  They are in the shape of a black claw with red trim and silver claws.  These things are awesome looking. They also have a dagger attached to the back for maximum efficiency.  If only they made them smaller.  You can buy them at Yulgar’s Suggestion I shop for 35,000 gold.

#3  The final item on this list allows you to live out your childhood dreams of a cowboy.  It’s the Colt Revolver.  It may not look like much, but it is powerful.  An incredibly detailed six shooter pistol from the Old West, this little baby can be yours for the low low price of only 200,000 gold at Yulgar’s Weapon shop.  Although, for that much, I’d expect to get some ammo for it instead of just slapping people with the handle.  Oh well, it still looks cool.
